Writing Advice Online

Blogs

Blogs by industry insiders (often anonymous) are an incredibly valuable resource that simply didn't exist a few years ago - make the most of them!

  • Miss Snark, Literary Agent - often funny, and full of useful hints for the clueless
  • Evil Editor - regular holds interactive sessions such as query letter critiques, to help you hone your prose
  • Crapometer a non-publishing-professional (AFAIK) blog, but a good place to have your query letters, opening pages, etc publicly critiqued - if you dare!

See also the Useful websites page for additional online resources such as discussion groups.
